German Airways to work exclusively with German Aviation Service / Efficient handling service provider for a discerning clientele
Cologne/Bonn, 10 February 2021. Two strong brands in German aviation are working closely together with immediate effect: German Airways has signed an exclusive service agreement with the Cologne-based company German Aviation Service (GAS). In future, the service provider will handle all German Airways and German Airways Private aircraft throughout Germany.
GAS is Germany's leading executive handling supplier with a presence at nine German airports. The company, which has been on the market for over 25 years, offers services such as aircraft handling, catering, obtaining landing permits and supplying fuel. German Aviation Service provides further services via its network partners.
In future, GAS will manage the entire fleet for German Airways, which consists of Embraer E190 and Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. German Aviation Service is represented by its own subsidiaries at Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Frankfurt Egelsbach, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart airports. At all other airports, the company works with certified ground service providers and coordinates the entire handling process for the Cologne/Bonn-based airline.
Maren Wolters, Managing Director of German Airways: "We want to offer our customers, most of whom expect exclusive VIP support, the maximum possible service at as many airports as possible. We can only do this with a strong partner, which we have found in German Aviation Service. The philosophies of our companies fit together perfectly and we look forward to our close co-operation in the future."
Andreas Becker, CEO of German Aviation Service: "We are very pleased that we can now support the second oldest German airline. Our aim is to raise German Airways and German Airways Private Services to a level that is not commonplace for us either. The airline has demonstrated a high degree of flexibility, especially in the current crisis situation, and we are very pleased to be able to support them in this way in the future."
