Change to Zeitfracht Group: Cartel Office approves takeover of LGW by Zeitfracht

Berlin, 08 March 2019

Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) will join the Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group on 1 April. The Cartel Office approved the takeover on Thursday, 7 March 2019, meaning that nothing stands in the way of the transfer. The takeover also marks the start of a long-term wet lease agreement between the regional airline LGW and the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings.

Zeitfracht Managing Director Wolfram Simon-Schröter said: "I am delighted that the cartel office has given its approval and that we can finalise the takeover as planned. We warmly welcome the employees of LGW to our company."

The LGW fleet currently consists of 17 Dash Q8 aircraft. Nothing will change for LGW employees as a result of the switch to the Zeitfracht Group; their contracts will remain unchanged. The Cologne-based airline WDL-Aviation already belongs to the Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group.
