German Airways and Hertha BSC jointly bid farewell to Tegel Airport on Saturday on the return flight from the match at FC Augsburg - fire brigade shower

Cologne/Bonn, Berlin, 7 November 2020. German Airways and Hertha BSC bid a fitting farewell to Tegel Airport together on Saturday evening: The Berlin Bundesliga club returned victorious from the match at FC Augsburg on a team plane. The traditional Berlin club was one of the last passengers to land at the former capital city airport. Tegel closes for good this weekend.

As both are of particular importance to Berlin, the aircraft of Germany's second oldest airline was also welcomed at Tegel Airport with a rain shower from the airport fire brigade. The aircraft had taken off from Memmingen, not far from Augsburg, and the crew was flown home safely by Captain Andreas Bäumer and co-pilot Andreas Geloneck.
