German Airways and the "Old Lady" say goodbye to Tegel Airport next Saturday / Return flight of Hertha BSC from Augsburg
Cologne/Bonn, Berlin, 4 November 2020. German Airways and Hertha BSC bid farewell to Tegel Airport together on Saturday: the capital's footballers will return to Berlin on the team plane that evening after the match against FC Augsburg. Like other sports teams, Hertha BSC uses the team plane to get to their matches safely and on time.
This means that the "Old Lady" and German Airways are among the last to land at Tegel Airport before it is retired: The last regular flights with passengers on board will leave the former capital city airport on Saturday.
The team of the Berlin Bundesliga club will fly from Berlin-Schönefeld to Memmingen and back to Berlin-Tegel after the match. Hertha BSC will play FC Augsburg on Saturday, the seventh matchday of the Bundesliga, at 3.30 pm.
