German Airways extends leasing contracts and intensifies cooperation with the American service provider Azorra
Cologne/Bonn, Fort Lauderdale, 28 August 2024. German Airways, the second oldest German airline, has successfully extended existing lease agreements for its Embraer E190-100LR fleet with the US aircraft leasing company Azorra and will intensify its co-operation. German Airways also intends to cooperate with Azorra on the further modernisation of its fleet and to work with the leasing company on its activities to intensify its European business.
German Airways operates the 100-seater Embraer E190s as wet leases for well-known European airlines and also regularly charters the aircraft out - for example to sports teams. With a spacious seating arrangement, comfortable leather seats and an impressive range, these aircraft offer our passengers maximum comfort.
"We are very proud of our performance to date with our customers and look forward to further expanding our position as one of the leading providers of wet lease and charter aviation services in Europe with more modern aircraft," says Maren Wolters, Managing Director of German Airways. "We were the first customer in Europe for the lessor Azorra and our long cooperation has been characterised by mutual support. Azorra understands our needs precisely as a medium-sized airline and is able to develop customised solutions for us and adapt to changing market situations together with us. This flexibility is not often found in the industry."
Azorra is a commercial aircraft lessor offering leasing, financing and asset management solutions specialising in regional, cross-over and wide-body aircraft. Azorra's team is led by industry experts with a combined track record of success and extensive experience in aircraft leasing. The company is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
