German Airways flies 1 FC Union Berlin in club colours

Berlin, 9 December 2019 -

German Airways will fly the Bundesliga team of 1. FC Union Berlin to their away matches in the club's colours in future. To this end, a Dash 8 Q-400 regional aircraft has been customised with the Köpenicker logo and the words "Team Transporter". German Airways is thus providing a specially painted aircraft for the long-term co-operation with the promoted Bundesliga club.

Elisabeth Jesse, CCO of the Zeitfracht Group: "As a Berlin-based company, we are delighted to be able to visibly publicise our cooperation with Union Berlin in the future. The logo and club colours will be visible at German and international airports with immediate effect. The permanent branding is above all an expression of the good cooperation between German Airways and the Bundesliga club."

German Airways and 1. FC Union Berlin have enjoyed a long-term partnership since the start of the current Bundesliga season. The collaboration includes flights to away matches, for example to Munich and Freiburg, as well as to the Bundesliga club's training camps in Spain.
