German Airways further expands its fleet with business aircraft / Purchase agreement signed for second Pilatus PC-12 / Latest generation NGX model

Cologne/Bonn, 22 January 2021

The Zeitfracht Group is moving deeper into the business aircraft market and is adding another Pilatus PC-12 to its fleet. A purchase agreement for the brand-new turboprop aircraft has now been signed with Air Alliance in Cologne, which markets Pilatus aircraft in Germany. Delivery is scheduled for the summer of this year. The aircraft is already the second business aircraft - unlike the first, it will carry the livery of German Airways. It will complement the current fleet of five Embraer 190s and one Pilatus turboprop that has already been delivered.

The new aircraft is a PC-12 NGX and, following its market launch last year, is one of the first deliveries of this advanced aircraft type. Pilatus is now launching the third generation of the successful single-engine turboprop, which offers up to eight passengers an extremely comfortable and individual journey at an excellent price/performance ratio. Both aircraft will be marketed together with the Embraer fleet of German Airways for business and private charter flights (https://germanairways.com/our-product/charter/business-and-private/).

With this aircraft, the Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has further developed the "world's best single-engine turboprop", according to the company. The new model has an improved engine, smarter avionics and a completely redesigned cabin - for example with cabin windows that have been enlarged by 10 per cent. Together with the two previous versions, the model has now been sold more than 2000 times and has completed more than seven million flight hours.

The turboprop relies on automatic thrust control, the improved engine has an electronic propeller and engine control system, and the new "Propeller Low Speed" mode significantly reduces noise in the cabin. Thanks to the latest technology, the cockpit environment with an intelligent touchscreen control system ensures constant control of all functions.

The redesigned cabin interior further enhances passenger comfort - with new, extremely lightweight passenger seats and a redesigned headliner as well as modern interior panelling with leather upholstery and wood veneers.
