To expand and actively support our team for our Cologne location, we are looking for a
Aviation Security Specialist (m/f/d) in full-time, permanent employment.

Your Role With Us
As an Aviation Security Specialist (m/f/d), you will support our Aviation Security and Ground Operations team in day-to-day operational and regulatory business and progressively develop into an expanded role of responsibility. You will gain comprehensive insights into all security and operational processes of an airline and work closely with all operational departments. Our lean organisational structure will also give you a holistic view of the workflows and interrelationships within an airline.

Your tasks

  • Support for the Air Security Officer in operational and regulatory aviation security matters
  • Assisting with audits and authority inspections, as well as with the implementation of resulting measures
  • Preparation, maintenance, and further development of safety regulations, procedures, and training programmes
  • Analysis of security and threat situations and participation in risk management
  • Support with planning, coordination, and monitoring of ground handling processes
  • Assisting with the control and coordination of ground service providers and external service providers.
  • Support for the further development of processes and standards in the areas of Aviation Security and Ground Operations

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in Aviation Security (e.g., airline, airport or ground handling)
  • Good knowledge of security management with regard to all topics covered by EU Regulation 2015/1998 11.2.3
  • Preferably, successful completion of a security management course in accordance with EU Regulation 2015/1998, section 11.2.5.
  • Initial practical experience in Ground Operations and a strong interest in developing expertise in this field.
  • Understanding of operational processes in flight operations, particularly in the area of ground handling
  • Structured, careful and reliable way of working
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational solutions
  • Teamwork skills as well as good communication skills in dealing with internal and external interfaces.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German
  • Valid background check in accordance with the legal requirements
