We are looking to strengthen our team at the Cologne/Bonn location as soon as possible:

Material Manager (m/f/d) full-time

Your tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing of aircraft parts, tools, materials and services for maintenance (line and base maintenance, C-checks, engineering requests for MOD, AD, SB)
  • Worldwide market enquiry and purchasing from known and new suppliers
  • Negotiations & selection of the "best buy" with suppliers (based on costs, quality, technical requirements, delivery time and reliability of suppliers)
  • Manage and oversee all logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, warehousing and inventory management
  • Monitoring deliveries until the goods have been successfully collected
  • Identification and clarification of supplier problems and active order tracking
  • Processing/support of strategic purchasing topics & projects
  • Supervision and processing of all administrative tasks in connection with the delivery of parts, materials and services
  • Close cooperation with the Maintenance, MCC, Camo and Warehouse departments, as well as 3rd-party maintenance service providers
  • Carrying out parts consumption analyses to determine the required stock levels and setting up a reliable stock forecasting system
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including EASA/FAA requirements 145

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the aviation industry
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Impeccable criminal record
  • Valid background check in accordance with the Aviation Security Act
  • Language skills German and English language fluently in word and writing
  • Familiarity and confidence in dealing with IT systems & technical documentation (internal and external)
  • High communication skills
  • Independent working style with the ability to remain calm even in stressful times
