Quality Manager (EASA Form 4 nominated person)

Job description, responsibilities and duties:

  • Location: Cologne, Germany
  • Continuous compliance monitoring of the organization with regard to the regulatory requirements of the approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition and all related practices and processes
  • Responsible for activities related to Quality Management System including development of, and adherence to the annual audit plan, performance of internal audits and supervision of corrective actions and related communications with the authorities
  • Document management including an active participation in the continuous development and maintenance of the approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition and related internal procedures and practices.
  • Process owner and reporting to the Accountable Manager for data review and change processes related to regulatory updates, additions and changes
  • Supervision and administration of all maintenance staff competency, recency, qualifications, authorizations and training in coordination with the Postholders
  • Coordinate the continuous development of skills and education programs for the technical staff and apprentices
  • Occurrence Management and reporting to the appropriate Authorities

Job Requirements:

  • Holder of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Licence i.a.w. Part-66: B.1, B.2 and C preferably in combination with a Degree in aviation/aerospace or similar field of technical studies
  • Minimum 3 years experience in aircraft maintenance in an approved EASA Part-145 organization or the similar position
  • Minimum 2 years experience as auditor in an aircraft maintenance or design organization and/or airline
  • Extensive technical training and specific type training on Embraer E190 series (preferably equivalent to Level III). Pilatus PC-12 training and experience would be an asset.
  • Proven knowledge of EASA Part-145, Part CAMO, Part-M, Quality Management Systems and Safety Management Systems.
  • Evidence of current training in all mandatory courses and subjects
  • Key User skills in IQSMS and Gannet or AMOS
  • Proven Leadership skills, be able to communicate and work effectively with the technical staff and senior management.
  • Language skills: Fluent written and spoken English and German.

Your tasks:

Your job profile:

  • You have successfully completed vocational training, preferably with a focus on tourism, or preferably many years of professional experience in the operational area of an airline.
  • You already have a good knowledge of the Airline Management System AIMS or comparable planning programs.
  • Strategic thinking and flexible approaches to solutions determine your working methodology
  • You have very good organizational skills as well as communication and team skills ability to work in a team
