WDL Aviation on course for modernisation - third Embraer E190 jet arrives in Cologne
Cologne, 19 June 2019
WDL Aviation has taken delivery of its third Embraer E190 jet in Cologne. The aircraft will operate under the registration D AWSI for established European airlines and will be named "Anna - Lisa".
Walter Böhnke, Managing Director of WDL, emphasised on Wednesday: "We are proud of the consistency and enthusiasm with which the entire company is supporting the modernisation course we have embarked on. So far, the fleet has been floated in record-breaking time. With the modern E190 jets in its fleet, WDL is ideally positioned for future development."
The time freight subsidiary Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) also announced at the beginning of May that it would be converting its fleet to E190 jets. The regional airline will fleet the first aircraft in the series from December 2019. The process is expected to last until autumn 2021.
With the refloating, the management of the Zeitfracht Group is focusing on modernising and increasing the efficiency of the company's aviation division. The E190 aircraft make it possible to fulfil the highest quality requirements of customers in the wet lease business.
