WDL expands its fleet until 2019
Fleet expansion by Embraer.
Cologne, July 2018
"German ACMI specialist WDL has selected the Embraer 190 to replace its fleet of BAE146 aircraft and is seeking bids for used aircraft to be delivered in early 2019. However, the CEO of parent company Zeitfracht, Wolfram Simon, emphasised that prices must be affordable. "So far, we see a lot of availability coming onto the market during the course of this year into 2020, but prices and lease rates have not yet reflected this reality. We're ready to buy, but the price has to be right - our customers are used to the excellent economics of the 146 and we need to bring the 190 up to that benchmark."
