What you can expect

In this key role within German Airways' engineering department, you will be responsible for the Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM) function in accordance with EASA Part 145, as well as tasks within Safety Management. You will ensure regulatory compliance, act as the point of contact for the LBA (German Federal Aviation Office), and be responsible for the further development of an effective compliance and safety system in accordance with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).

Your tasks

Compliance Monitoring (CMM)

  • Taking on the role of Compliance Monitoring Manager in accordance with Part 145
  • Contact person for the LBA on all compliance issues
  • Planning, controlling and monitoring of audits as well as the audit plan
  • Tracking and ensuring the remediation of audit findings
  • Ensuring compliance with all Part-145 requirements and MOE specifications
  • Maintenance and revision of MOE and compliance documentation
  • Monitoring of release procedures, qualifications and training (Part-66)
  • Analysis of audit statistics and derivation of measures
  • Definition and coordination of compliance requirements and selection of auditors

Safety Management

  • Contact person for the LBA on safety matters
  • Operation and further development of the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Carrying out risk assessments and hazard analyses
  • Monitoring and Tracking of Safety Measures
  • Conducting and overseeing occurrence investigations
  • Management of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reports
  • Ensuring safety training and documentation
  • Advice to the organisation on all matters of flight safety

What you bring with you

  • Completed studies in aeronautical engineering, engineering, safety management, or comparable, or a technical apprenticeship (e.g., aircraft mechanic) with relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in Part 145 Compliance Monitoring and/or Safety Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of EASA regulations (Part 145, Part-66, SMS)
  • Experience in dealing with authorities (LBA, EASA)
  • Structured, analytical and responsible work approach
  • Knowledge of German would be an advantage
